'I Am Aquitaine are a good time rock band encompassing the best of Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac and Blondie…. However don’t be fooled by the nods to the past, they are original and look firmly to the future. Go see them live.’ - Phil Harrison, BBC Radio

I Am Aquitaine; purveyors of progressive pop and party rock have a reputation as a formidable live act and are renowned for getting the crowd moving. Catchy hook choruses meld with grooving bass lines, psychedelic space travel collides with heart melting blues, slick new retro wave and trip-hop soundscapes.

Having developed a reputation as a formidable live act through extensive gigging in the last 2 years I Am Aquitaine have played numerous seminal venues across the UK including London’s Barfly, The Forum in Tunbridge Wells and most recently a capacity headline show at The Dublin Castle Camden. Choice festival dates have included ‘Aberjazz’ in Wales, two consecutive years at ‘Mudfest’ supporting Toploader, Goldie Lookin’ Chain and Scouting for Girls, as well as playing the Bimble Inn stage at Beautiful Days.

Currently promoting a limited vinyl-only release of ‘The Granary Sessions 2’ for a special collaborative project revisiting the use of analogue desks and tape. A launch night at The Forum saw I Am Aquitaine share the bill with the only other act to have taken part in this project so far; The Standard Lamps (The Who tour support).

The debut single ‘Find Me’ scheduled for release by close of the year was recorded at Park Studio with Tobin Jones (The Pearl Harts, Swedish Death Candy, Powell). Demos of these forthcoming tracks were completed at DOZ studio in preparation for these sessions; these can be heard on the Soundcloud page.

There will be numerous events and shows announced over the coming months and I Am Aquitaine look forward to seeing you whilst doing what they do best; giving their energy and all in a live setting. Find them on the road, you won’t be disappointed.
